The Detroit native joins PJ Morton at The Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre — and stops by The Roundtable to talk music, hits, and coming home.
Detroit’s own J. Brown is here, and he’s bringing that smooth R&B sound back home!
The singer-songwriter has built an impressive run in contemporary R&B, with fan favorites including “My Whole Heart,” “If You Could See You,” “Moon,” “Sunrise Sunset,” “True Love,” and “Don’t Rush” featuring Tank. His music blends classic soul, romance, and modern R&B — fitting for an artist who grew up right here in the Motor City. “Sunrise Sunset” reached the Top 10 on Billboard’s Adult R&B chart, while “Moon” climbed even higher to No. 7.
Now J. Brown is coming home! He hits The Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre in Detroit on Wednesday, July 29, joining PJ Morton for a night of R&B on the riverfront.
On The Roundtable with Robert Bannon, J. Brown talks about his music, his journey from Detroit to the national R&B stage, the records that have connected with fans, and what it means to perform back home.
If you love real R&B, great vocals, and songs you can actually feel, do not miss J. Brown — on The Roundtable and live at The Aretha!
