Our Top 3 Video Game Consoles, Gamestop CEO on Comments Physical Media and Movies

This week on The Next Take Podcast, Canada’s own Mikel & RJ count down their top three video game consoles of all time, break down the GameStop CEO's comments on the future of physical Media, and hear RJ's picks for the best movies of the year so far.

From the consoles that defined their childhoods to the systems that delivered unforgettable games, groundbreaking features, and countless hours of entertainment, Mikel and RJ explain why their personal picks deserve a spot in the top three. They also compare different generations of gaming and discuss how consoles from Nintendo, PlayStation, Xbox, Sega, and more helped shape the industry.

GameStop CEO Ryan Cohen is raising eyebrows with his latest comments about the future of physical video games. As the gaming industry continues its shift toward digital distribution, Cohen argues that physical game software is becoming far less important to GameStop’s overall business, with the retailer increasingly focusing on collectibles, trading cards, hardware, and other revenue streams.
