A Brand-New Home - Sermon 1st Dec, 2024

This Sunday, we began our Advent sermon series, "Home for Christmas." Pastor Paul introduced the series with a sermon titled "A Brand-New Home," based on Genesis 3:1-10, 21-24. In these verses, we witness the profound moment of humanity's initial departure from their first home, the Garden of Eden, due to disobedience and the consequential longing for a return to a place of perfect communion with God. The story of Genesis sets the stage for the Advent theme, emphasizing that our hearts are forever seeking a return to a 'home' where we are fully known and loved.

Sermon Questions

1. What is something "intentional" that you can be praying about every day during this Advent season?
2. Is there a time when you felt like Jesus showed up for you, or a time you felt like Jesus was walking with you?  How has that impacted you?

We want to connect with you! Email Pastor Chad at chadf@ljpres.org to get plugged in or you can find our website at ljpres.org/connect. We hope to see lives transformed by a relationship with Jesus, and we strive to be a place where you experience and are able to express that transforming love of Christ.

It builds our faith to help give back a portion of what God has given us. If you would like to help further His work in La Jolla, San Diego and the world you can give online at LJPres.org/Donate.
