From Sleeping in His Car to Giving 6 Cars Away | AJ Vassar’s Comeback Story

From rock bottom to remarkable - AJ Vassar’s journey proves you can rise again.
In this Expert Series episode, AJ shares how homelessness, humility, and mentorship changed everything.

Host Linette Cottrell sits down with AJ Vassar to unpack a powerful story of downfall, accountability, and resilience. AJ opens up about sleeping in his car for months, meeting a mentor in Atlanta who didn’t hand him money—but instead offered tough love, safe space, and truth—and how that moment forced him to stop running from his problems and start rebuilding his life and business.

In this episode, you’ll learn:

• Why rock bottom doesn’t mean it’s over—it can be the reset
• How real mentorship challenges you instead of rescuing you
• The mindset shift AJ made to stop running and start rebuilding
• How resilience and discipline led AJ to give away 6 cars
• What Black women entrepreneurs can learn from navigating setbacks early
