Too often, people focus on things they can’t control—worrying about how others will react, whether a lesson will resonate, or if a class will stay on topic. But the real power lies in focusing on what we can influence: preparing well, inviting the Spirit, and creating an environment where learning can happen.

They discuss the difference between influence and control—influence is about guiding and inspiring, not forcing outcomes. The best teaching happens when we let go of the uncontrollable and put energy into what we can shape.
