Ep. 148: (NSL Final Special) Interview with AFC Toronto Forward Colby Barnett — The Women’s Soccer Podcast

In this episode, LDG interviews AFC Toronto Forward Colby Barnett as an NSL final special!

Colby talks about her move to AFC Toronto FC, her earliest soccer memories, the moment she stepped onto the pitch at BMO Field for the Northern Super League in front of more than 14,000 fans, her experience in the USWNT youth system training environment at such a young age, and much more!

Colby discusses her time at the WCC at Santa Clara, why AFC Toronto was such an appealing project for her, and how the team has combined its individual talent into a holistically dominant unit that won the Northern Super League Supporters' Shield by a wide margin.

She also discusses playing in almost every minute this season, building a team from scratch, reflecting on the AFC Toronto's first season, and why she believes AFC Toronto was the perfect fit for her first professional club.

In the rapid-fire section, we get to learn more about Colby and AFC Toronto FC off the pitch, such as a match Colby would love to relive, her ideal partner for a TikTok dance on AFC Toronto, who the team's DJ is in the AFC Toronto locker room, and so much more!
