This week, Pastor Jim walks us through 1 Samuel 13–14, where we begin to see the downfall of King Saul. Faced with pressure, Saul grows impatient and disobeys God by taking on a role that wasn’t his, showing a lack of trust in the Lord’s timing. His actions reveal a pattern of fear and self-reliance that ultimately costs him the kingdom. In contrast, Jonathan steps out in bold faith, trusting that God can bring victory no matter the odds. The passage challenges us to trust God fully, obey Him faithfully, and remember that He is the one who brings the victory.
