Family, Friends, Foes | 1 Samuel 18-20 | Sermon

This week, Pastor Jim walks us through 1 Samuel 18–20, where we see the rise of David and the growing tension with Saul. As David gains favor and success, Saul’s jealousy turns into fear and hostility, leading him to pursue David. In the middle of this, we see the deep friendship between David and Jonathan—a picture of loyalty, sacrifice, and godly love. The passage reminds us that even in seasons of conflict and uncertainty, God is at work, and faithful relationships matter.
