Jesus' forsaking to die alone reveals him to be our necessarily kingly ransom and it calls for us to pick up our crosses and follow Him in faith. Jesus' death alone is the sign that He is the Son of God, and we are repent of our desire to have him come down and be a different kind of Savior. Instead, like the centurion, we are to stand, facing him, and in full faith say, "truly, this is the Son of God."
