Marianne Oleson, Co-Executive Director of ExPO (Ex-incarcerated persons organizing) focuses on the difficulties of incarcerated and released women. The Wisconsin prison system has experienced an 897% increase in women in prison in the past 47 years -- a prison system designed to hole male inmates. Oleson brought the Sisterhood Alliance for Freedom and Equity (S.A.F.E.) House to Wisconsin, a place for housing, restoration, and community for recently released women. She talks about the upcoming "Exponentially Correcting the Narrative" event, November 7th, 5:00 PM, at the Madison Concourse Hotel.
