Breese Stevens Field, the famed outdoor venue on Madison’s near east side, is turning a hundred years old next spring. The city and the facility’s private operator say they’re looking ahead to the next hundred years, with a proposed multimillion-dollar upgrade that aims to attract more musical acts…and reduce the city’s investment.
