I saw the morning
coming through the glass
Fields were moving
and the towns went past

I had no reason
to turn around
Just an old suitcase
and that rolling sound

Somebody told me
“Boy, you’ve got to choose”
But every road you take
leaves something to lose

So I bought a ticket
with nowhere to return
Watched another station
fade behind the turn

And I don’t know
where this line will end

what is waiting there

Maybe some forgotten town
where nobody knows the rules

Maybe there’s no answer
waiting down the line
Maybe all this travelling
is only passing time

Take that train to the world
Let the old days disappear
Every mile becomes a memory
every memory gets unclear
