Story Transcript:

Hu: Az ősz halkan lebbent be a város utcáira, s levelei színes szőnyeget terítettek a járdára.
En: Autumn quietly slipped into the city's streets, its leaves spreading a colorful carpet on the sidewalk.

Hu: Levente, egy fehér ingbe és farmerba öltözött fiatalember, idegesen ült a kórház várójában.
En: Levente, a young man dressed in a white shirt and jeans, sat nervously in the hospital waiting room.

Hu: Az orvos receptjére való várakozás megfeszítette türelmét.
En: Waiting for the doctor's prescription strained his patience.

Hu: Mellette Zsófia, akinek finom iróniájának köszönhetően mindent jobban viselt, egy mosollyal próbálta felvidítani barátját.
En: Next to him, Zsófia, whose gentle irony always made things easier to bear, tried to cheer up her friend with a smile.

Hu: A kórház tele volt emberekkel.
En: The hospital was full of people.

Hu: Az érzékelhető fertőtlenítőszer-illat keveredett a nyugodt beszélgetések és a néha felhangzó köhögés hangjaival.
En: The noticeable smell of disinfectant mixed with quiet conversations and the occasional sound of coughing.

Hu: A kemény műanyag székek soraira támaszkodva, Levente minduntalan a falon lévő órára pillantott, mely talán hangosabban ketyegett, mint általában.
En: Leaning on the rows of hard plastic chairs, Levente kept glancing at the clock on the wall, which perhaps ticked louder than usual.

Hu: "Biztos vagy benne, hogy ez komoly?
En: "Are you sure this is serious?"

Hu: " kérdezte Zsófia, félig-meddig tréfálkozva.
En: Zsófia asked, half-jokingly.

Hu: "Lehet, hogy csak a szokásos túlaggódásod.
En: "Maybe it's just your usual over-worrying."

Hu: "Levente idegesen megvakarta a homlokát.
En: Levente nervously scratched his forehead.

Hu: "Zsófi, ez most más.
En: "Zsófi, this is different now.

Hu: Érzem, hogy valami nincs rendben.
En: I feel that something isn't right."

Hu: "Zsófia hátradőlt a székében, kezét keresztbe öltötte a mellén.
En: Zsófia leaned back in her chair, her hands crossed over her chest.

En: "Remember when you thought you had a brain tumor because of your headache?"

Hu: ""Ez most nem ugyanaz.
En: "This is not the same.

En: And besides, you said it's better to be safe than sorry."

En: The wait dragged on, and Levente's anxiety only grew.

En: Finally, a nurse called and led Levente to the examination room.

Hu: Zsófia buzdítólag megszorította a kezét, mielőtt elengedte volna.
En: Zsófia squeezed his hand encouragingly before letting go.

Hu: Az orvos, egy középkorú, jókedélyű férfi, barátságosan mosolygott rá.
En: The doctor, a middle-aged man with a good sense of humor, smiled at him amiably.

Hu: "Nos, milyen panaszaid vannak?
En: "So, what are your complaints?"

Hu: "Levente a lábára mutatott.
En: Levente pointed to his foot.

Hu: "Furcsa büdös, és néha viszket.
En: "A strange odor, and sometimes it itches."

Hu: "Az orvos megvizsgálta a lábait és rögtön elmosolyodott.
En: The doctor examined his feet and immediately smiled.

En: "I must tell you, young man, this is not a life-threatening illness.

Hu: A zoknid kissé az.
En: Your sock is, though."

Hu: " A zokni sarkán átlukadt részt mutatta.
En: He pointed to a hole in the heel of the sock.

Hu: Láthatóan Levente régi darabot választott aznap reggel.
En: Evidently, Levente had chosen an old pair that morning.

Hu: Zsófia kuncogott az ajtó mögül.
En: Zsófia giggled from behind the door.

Hu: "Ez a misztikus betegség megfejtése?
En: "Is this the solution to the mysterious illness?"

En: Levente blushed, but a liberated laugh escaped his lips.

Hu: "Ezúttal tényleg túlzásba estem, mi?
En: "I really overdid it this time, didn't I?"

Hu: "Az orvos bólintott.
En: The doctor nodded.

En: "Just make sure to wash your feet thoroughly and change your socks more frequently, alright?"

Hu: "Ahogy kiléptek a kórház ajtaján, Zsófia viccesen meglökte Levente vállát.
En: As they stepped out of the hospital, Zsófia playfully nudged Levente's shoulder.

En: "Now I know that even socks can bring new color to your everyday life."

En: Levente resolved not to jump to the worst conclusions next time.

En: While Zsófia appreciated her friend's care for himself more, even if it occasionally led to amusing situations.

Hu: Az őszi nap már meleg
