What happens when God's appointed leaders abdicate their authority? Through the dramatic story of Ahab, Jezebel, and Jehu, Pastor Nick illuminated how one weak king's failure to lead opened the door to devastating spiritual corruption. When Ahab surrendered his God-given authority to his pagan wife Jezebel, she systematically destroyed true worship, murdered God's prophets, and led Israel into idolatry. Her influence was so toxic that God ordained her violent demise - thrown from a window and trampled by horses, with dogs consuming her remains. This ancient account carries urgent warnings for today, as the "spirit of Jezebel" still seeks to undermine biblical authority and God's design for masculinity and femininity. Pastor Nick challenged men to step fully into their leadership roles as Christ-following heads of their households, while encouraging women to support godly leadership through prayer and example rather than seeking to dominate. Just as Adam's passive silence in Eden brought sin into the world, spiritual passivity today creates space for destructive influences. The answer lies not in cultural warfare but in men and women embracing their God-given identities and standing firm against Satan's attempts to distort them.
