In his sermon, Pastor Nick emphasized the importance of intentional living in the Christian faith, drawing from the life of Jesus as a model for purposeful engagement with others. He highlighted that, despite Jesus's planned days, He welcomed interruptions from those in need, demonstrating a balance between personal time with God and serving others. Using Hebrews 12, Pastor Nick encouraged the congregation to remove hindrances that may impede their faith journey and to persist in running the race of life with endurance, always keeping their eyes fixed on Jesus, the source and perfecter of their faith. Pastor Nick also discussed the challenges believers face in maintaining their spiritual growth amidst distractions and doubts. He encouraged congregants to reflect on what hinders their faith and to engage with God about their struggles. He likened the process of faith development to kneading dough, emphasizing that God often requires us to be stretched and molded to grow stronger in faith. Ultimately, he reminded everyone that intentional effort is essential in the Christian life, reinforcing that faith is built through focused action, prayer, and community support, as they all seek to deepen their relationship with Christ.
