Stu Sheridan

On this episode of Turf Today, Stu Sheridan takes us through his career and some of the people and experiences that helped shape it. We talk about his early days at Naas Golf Club, the Ohio program, his internships at Muirfield Village and Bay Hill, and what he learned from working major events across North America.

Stu also shares a great story from Bay Hill involving Arnold Palmer, talks about why relationships and networking have played such a big role in his career, and takes us inside the major first tee and tunnel project at Capilano that helped spark his interest in golf construction.

We also talk about something that doesn't get discussed enough in the turf industry, the career opportunities that exist outside of the traditional Superintendent path. Stu explains why golf construction can be the "unknown" career in the eyes of the turf industry and why now is such an exciting time to be involved.
