It's another Terrible Classics edition of The Unemployment Line, and this time Larry P and The Dok take on the beloved 1997 film Soul Food. But does this Black cinema staple actually hold up, or is it powered almost entirely by nostalgia? The guys hilariously break down the movie's endless string of bad decisions—from Big Mama's questionable life choices to Terry's family drama, Bird and Lem's marriage, and one of the wildest timelines in movie history. Along the way, they debate whether Terry was really the victim, whether family loyalty can become toxic, and why a Sunday dinner can't solve every problem. Then comes the ultimate verdict: is Soul Food truly a classic, or is it just another Terrible Classic? Expect plenty of laughs, hot takes, and unapologetic commentary that might change the way you look at one of Black cinema's most iconic films.
