Days of our Lives spoilers reveal that Sydney DiMera (Sydney Malakeh) unknowingly finds herself embroiled in the machinations of her soon-to-be stepfather Dante Vitali (Franco LoPresti) and her mother, Sami Brady’s (Alison Sweeney) fiance. A recent MBA and law graduate from a prestigious European university, Sydney is oblivious to the fact that Dante and his old boarding school buddy Dominic Marino are using her as a pawn in their high-stakes poker games. This becomes evident when Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) emerges victorious, contrary to Dante and Dominic's plans.

DOOL spoilers suggest that while Sydney continues to work remotely for Dante, she remains unaware of the deeper secrets he's keeping from her. Questions arise if Sydney's casual drug use, which her father EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) finds repugnant, could be Dante's doing. As Sydney attends her sister-in-law, Chanel Dupree's (Raven Bowens) baby shower, she makes a startling blunder, possibly under the influence of Paulina Price's (Jackee Harry) spiked brownies. This raises suspicions if Sydney might inadvertently reveal something incriminating about Dante.

Spoilers for Days of our Lives indicate that the plot thickens as it's revealed that Dominic is the son of Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) and Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall), making him Sydney's uncle. With Dominic and Dante seeming to harbor a grudge against EJ, it remains to be seen if they will use Sydney to harm her father. As the episode concludes, it's evident that Sydney might be an unwitting pawn in Dante and Dominic's power play in Salem.
