Surface Noise | When What We Already Have Isn't Good Enough

Welcome back our fellow seasoned audiophiles! Get ready for another must-listen episode of SURFACE NOISE, the podcast where the vinyl community dives deep into the trends, habits, and future of record collecting.

First the panel jumps into the latest current events making waves in the world of vinyl record collecting, including some reissue announcements sure to make us say "hmmm"....including a new MoFi One-Step of Television's debut albut Marquee Moon, the Vinylphyle series continues with a classic 90's album from the Cranberries - Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We - and Rhino HiFi with not one but two new titles - Uncle Tupelo's Anodyne and a live recording from the J. Geils Band called "Live - Full House". Raise your hand out there if you are itching for these fresh reissues!

Next, we tap into the collector mindset with a deep discussion on why vinyl collectors upgrade what they already own. From chasing better pressings and audiophile reissues to investing in higher-end turntables, cartridges, and speakers, what drives the constant pursuit of “better”? Is it about sound quality, collectibility, or something deeper within the hobby? Is "Frankenstein-ing" to complete the pieces of a complete album a form of OCD or archival restoration?

You decide, only on the latest SURFACE NOISE!
