Surface Noise | Bonus Trax: Summon The Vinyl Genie

For our next trick on Surface Noise, these BONUS TRAX summon the "Vinyl Genie" 🧞‍♂️

If you could be granted one wish related to music, vinyl records, collecting, reissues, concerts, your favorite artists, or the hobby itself, what would it be? Would you bring back a long out-of-print album, attend a legendary concert from the past, see a dream reissue finally become reality, or change something about the record collecting world altogether? We'll reveal our own wishes and explore the possibilities that collectors and music fans often dream about.

Then, we dive into one of the more fascinating aspects of record collecting: the fine line between collector preferences and collector quirks. Why do some collectors obsess over cut-out notches, saw cuts, drill holes, promo stamps, corner dings, hype stickers, original shrink wrap, and other perceived flaws, while others barely give them a second thought? At what point does personal preference become collecting OCD, and why do these details matter so much to some collectors while remaining completely irrelevant to others?

Record collecting is filled with dreams, debates, preferences, and peculiarities—and we're diving into all of them. Let us know where you stand on these topics (and others) that keep the vinyl community talking!
