Story Transcript:

Es: Mateo caminaba con pasos firmes hacia el viejo almacén abandonado, ubicado en un rincón tranquilo de Buenos Aires.
En: Mateo walked with firm steps towards the old abandoned warehouse, located in a quiet corner of Buenos Aires.

Es: Era primavera, y el aire estaba lleno de aromas nuevos y frescos, pero dentro del almacén, el polvo y la penumbra dominaban el ambiente.
En: It was spring, and the air was filled with new and fresh aromas, but inside the warehouse, dust and gloom dominated the atmosphere.

Es: Le habían dicho que era lo suficientemente imprudente para adentrarse solo, pero el deseo de encontrar el relicario era más fuerte que cualquier advertencia.
En: They had told him it was reckless to go in alone, but the desire to find the reliquary was stronger than any warning.

Es: Sofía, su amiga de la infancia, lo miraba con preocupación desde la entrada.

Es: El almacén era un laberinto de cajas apiladas al azar, algunas cubiertas de telas de araña, otras tan polvorientas que dejaban un rastro de partículas en el aire.
En: The warehouse was a labyrinth of randomly stacked boxes, some covered in cobwebs, others so dusty they left a trail of particles in the air.

Es: Los tres se adentraron, esquivando tablas rotas y crujidos sospechosos desde el piso de madera.
En: The three ventured in, dodging broken boards and suspicious creaks from the wooden floor.

Es: Mateo buscaba el relicario que perteneció a su abuela.
En: Mateo was searching for the reliquary that belonged to his grandmother.

Es: Había sido un accidente, el que su abuela lo había guardado en una caja para donar, y ahora, Mateo sentía que estaba perdiendo un pedazo vital de su historia familiar.
En: It had been an accident when his grandmother stored it in a box to donate, and now, Mateo felt he was losing a vital piece of his family history.

Es: "Esta parte de aquí parece más reciente," dijo Sofía, señalando una pila que no estaba tan cubierta por el polvo.
En: "This part here looks more recent," said Sofía, pointing to a pile that wasn’t as covered in dust.

Es: Carlos sugirió empezar allí.
En: Carlos suggested starting there.

Es: Trabajaron en silencio durante varias horas, abriendo y cerrando cajas.
En: They worked in silence for several hours, opening and closing boxes.
