No: Snøen lå som et hvitt teppe over Svalbard.
En: The snow lay like a white blanket over Svalbard.

No: Fjellene raget høyt mot den grå himmelen.
En: The mountains towered high against the gray sky.

No: En enslig hytte sto blant de iskalde fjordene, der inne satt tre søsken, forent igjen etter mange år.
En: A solitary cabin stood among the icy fjords, where inside, three siblings sat, reunited after many years.

No: Lars, Astrid, og Sondre fant ly fra kulden, men også ly for sine følelser.
En: Lars, Astrid, and Sondre found shelter from the cold but also refuge for their feelings.

No: Lars så ut av vinduet, observerte landskapet.
En: Lars looked out the window, observing the landscape.

No: Det var vakkert, men han følte tyngden av alt han bar med seg.
