Badlands Media Special Coverage: 9/24/26 - Trump Welcomes Xi Jinping for Historic State Visit

President Xi Jinping becomes the first Chinese leader ever to make a second formal state visit to America, and the White House pulls out all the stops for it, national anthems, full honor guard, and a genuinely warm arrival ceremony. Trump reflects on his years long friendship with Xi, the new Board of Trade created during his Beijing visit, and a shared World War II history that gave the Marines their "gung ho" motto. Xi responds with his own vision for a steady, cooperative relationship, touching on AI development, counternarcotics cooperation, increased direct flights, and a rather charming announcement: two new pandas headed to Zoo Atlanta. Expect plenty of diplomatic warmth, talk of trade balance and superintelligence, and a shared nod to the 250th anniversary of American independence. Less policy fireworks, more ceremonial handshake energy, with genuine substance tucked between the pleasantries.
