Troy DOMINATED Southern Miss — But Was That the REAL Troy? | Sun Belt Podcast

Troy Trojans dominate Southern Miss 55-34 behind Goose Crowder’s breakout performance—was this a turning point or a mirage?

The offense exploded for 662 total yards, including a staggering 437 rushing yards, raising questions about whether Troy’s dominance was genuine or aided by Southern Miss’s defensive lapses and missed tackles.

The conversation focused on Crowder’s efficiency, standout play-calling, and key moments such as pivotal fourth-down decisions and a critical sack-fumble recovery.

A key theme that emerged was Troy’s need to balance optimism with caution as they face tougher opponents like Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns and James Madison.

The discussion explored whether Troy can replicate its offensive explosion against teams with stronger defenses and highlighted potential concerns about second-half defensive drop-offs. Can the Trojans maintain this momentum, or will upcoming challenges expose their vulnerabilities?
