REVAMPED: Dallas Cowboys HOPING Run Game Will Improve With Javonte Williams In Year 2 | Who Will Be The RB2 For Cowboys?

The Dallas Cowboys prioritize keeping Javonte Williams fresh—will a revamped committee approach fuel a run game resurgence?

Marcus Mosher and Landon McCool break down Dallas’s plan to manage Williams’s workload after securing his long-term deal, citing concerns from last year’s late-season drop-off and looming playoff ambitions. Key stats like yards before contact and broken tackles spark a debate on how improved blocking and a smarter snap share could elevate the Cowboys’ rushing attack into elite NFC territory.

The race for RB2 heats up as Phil Mafah’s physicality and Jaydon Blue’s explosive upside come under the microscope, with Malik Davis emerging as a dark horse thanks to his special-teams value and the coaching staff's trust.

Does Blue risk missing the Week 1 roster, and could Davis leapfrog the depth chart? Every angle is covered—from training camp battles to Schottenheimer’s scheme tweaks—offering a comprehensive look at the Cowboys’ evolving backfield strategy.
