768 - How to Call Turkeys the Old-School Way with Mark Prudhomme

For decades, Mark Prudhomme has studied turkeys the old-school way.

No gimmicks.

No burning the woods down.

No calling just to hear himself call.

In this full-length conversation, Mark breaks down:

• Why soft calling kills more gobblers

• The biggest mistake most turkey hunters make

• How public land pressure actually makes you better

• Low-impact turkey hunting strategy

• How to run a trumpet call the right way

• What 100-year-old shotguns can teach modern hunters

Mark is a 5x Champion of Champions caller and one of the most respected trumpet call builders in the country. But more importantly, he’s a woodsman.

If you hunt turkeys, this episode will challenge how you think about calling, pressure, and patience.

Topics covered:

• Soft vs aggressive calling

• Public land strategy

• Blind calling mid-day

• Turkey language & realism

• Trumpet call technique

• Double barrel shotgun history

• Hunting with intention

If you’re serious about turkey hunting… this one matters.
