It's New Movie Monday! Today, we find ourselves in a tournament of endurance as we fight our way through a conversation about a movie that is far more video game than film. Griffey, Heath and Sam conjure their special powers of bs to analyze the merits of Mortal Kombat II, how it compares to past iterations of the franchise, the lore it invokes from its arcade origins and ask why it was packaged as an R-rated ride instead of a movie aimed at kids.

Synopsis: The fan favorite champions -- now joined by Johnny Cage himself -- are pitted against one another in the ultimate battle to defeat the dark rule of Shao Kahn that threatens the very existence of the Earthrealm and its defenders.

Starring: Adeline Rudolph, Karl Urban, Martyn Ford

Directed by Simon McQuoid
