This Freshman Could Be Penn State’s NEXT BREAKOUT Player

Penn State's passing attack has produced explosive plays immediately under Matt Campbell and Taylor Mouser, but the same thing hasn't happened on the ground. Is the problem really the offensive line and play calling — or are Carson Hansen, James Peoples, Quinton Martin and Cam Wallace leaving big runs on the field?

Jackson Ford has a major opportunity for Penn State against Buffalo. With Max Granville out, the freshman defensive end has a real chance to prove he belongs in the rotation and can be trusted with meaningful snaps before Big Ten play begins. The biggest question isn't Ford's size or athleticism — it's whether he can diagnose plays, handle assignments and show the awareness needed to stay on the field.

Zach Seyko also breaks down Penn State's running game and why Carson Hansen, James Peoples, Quinton Martin and Cam Wallace haven't consistently produced explosive runs despite opportunities being there. Is the problem really the offensive line and play calling, or are the backs leaving big plays on the field?

Plus, how Penn State's explosive passing attack is changing the identity of this offense.
