#1128 - Ches Crosbie

Ches Crosbie is a Newfoundland and Labrador lawyer and former politician. A Rhodes Scholar who studied at Oxford and Dalhousie, he founded a class-action law firm in 1991 and later led the Progressive Conservative Party from 2018 to 2021 while serving as Leader of the Opposition. He won a Windsor Lake byelection in 2018, grew the party’s seats in 2019, then lost his own seat and resigned as leader after the 2021 election. He later served as chairman of the National Citizens Inquiry, which examined Canada’s COVID-19 response.
