Johnny Mac covers reactions to Shane Gillis, noting Michael Che’s joking Instagram stories about press questions, criticism from Phoebe Robinson, and gym “whore” posts from Ego Nwodim and Maren Morris; Flavor Flav and Travis Kelce also engage with a Dan Levy clip. He mocks The Daily Beast’s “MAGA-friendly” framing and discusses unaired footage of Gillis walking offstage before SNL goodnights, likened to Morgan Wallen’s earlier exit. A resurfaced 2011 Dave Chappelle bit is used to compare joke premises. Mac reviews specials from Sam Morril (weak closer), Jamie Foxx (unwatchable), and Louis C.K. (higher level). He cites an LA Times interview where Che says Weekend Update is a character and stand-up is more nuanced. Upcoming SNL host Druski’s past sketch controversies are recapped; Seinfeld is interrupted by pro-Palestinian protesters in Chicago; Good+ Foundation’s anniversary lineup is noted; Gabriel Iglesias reports an SUV break-in in Oakland; David Mitchell praises prolific American sitcom output; Vulture lauds It’s Always Sunny season 18; and late-night ratings are summarized for Kimmel, Fallon, Meyers, The Daily Show, and Byron Allen.
