A growing coalition wants Congress to think about wildfires as a national-security challenge

Supporters of the Fix Our Forests Act are urging Congress to include the measure in the annual defense authorization bill. Their argument is that wildfires can threaten military installations, disrupt training, strain critical infrastructure, and increase demands on the National Guard.
