21 to 27 September is Dementia Awareness Week. Earlier this year, Professor Katsuya Urakami, a leading expert in dementia prevention, visited Australia with a Japanese dementia care delegation. Through facility visits and exchanges with local professionals, the group explored dementia care practices, shared challenges and opportunities for collaboration between Japan and Australia.
