Numbers Show CONCERNING Trends From Washington's First Half

The Washington Huskies have seen critical offensive regression in Jedd Fisch's third season, can Elijah Brown’s expected start at quarterback ignite a turnaround against Purdue? Locked On Huskies host Roman Tomashoff breaks down why Washington’s scoring, third-down conversions, and rushing attack have plummeted in Big Ten play, spotlighting Demond Williams Jr.'s struggles, injuries to Jayden Limar and Quaid Carr, and the offensive line’s issues, while highlighting standout performers like Chris Lawson and Dezmen Roebuck, and questions whether these playmakers can thrive if the offense finds rhythm.

Key topics include sack issues on both sides of the ball, Ryan Walters’ accountability after a bad loss to Iowa, and the defense’s need to clean up missed tackles. Tomashoff weighs special teams mishaps and whether punter Hunter Green can fix kickoff team issues, discusses leaders like Jacob Manu and Zaydrius Rainey-Sale, and examines whether Washington’s defense can rediscover its aggressive edge against Purdue.

With pivotal matchups looming, the Huskies’ ability to adjust may define their path forward in the Big Ten race.
