We say “blessed” so often that we can stop hearing what it means. Chris returns to the blessing God asked the priests to speak over his people and lingers on the thought of God turning his face toward us. That kind of attention matters when we’ve begun to think of ourselves as a failure or feel forgotten.

Through Jesus’ teaching and the prayer of Jabez, Chris invites us to receive God’s care in the season we’re actually living in and to ask him for room to bless others.
