The Changing Regulatory Landscape

There is a strange thing happening in rental housing across the United States.

If you looked only at national statistics, you might conclude that the business of owning an apartment is largely unchanged. 

Since January 2025, more than forty states have passed, published, or court-decided something that touches deposits, notices, fees, or evictions. 

Each individual change can look small.

Taken together, they represent something much larger.
