Amrita Pritam_Ganje Ki Kali

Amrita Pritam’s “Ganje Ki Kali” is a powerful haunting tale of innocence, awakening, and resistance of a young girl who, in her simple truth, exposes the deep injustice of the world around her.

The story revolves around Aghaniya urf Gulbatti, a sixteen-year-old girl belonging to a Pushkarna trading family— the only family in her village that owns a brick house, symbolizing social privilege and power.
