DOUBTS: Can the Arizona Wildcats REPLICATE Their Historic PAINT DOMINANCE? Without RJ GODFREY?

Arizona Wildcats basketball faces pivotal questions ahead of the 2026-27 season. Can Tommy Lloyd’s squad maintain its dominance in the paint without RJ Godfrey, and will Ivan Kharchenkov’s perimeter skills reshape their offensive identity? With Mo Krivos anchoring the interior and newcomers like Caleb Holt and Derrick Dixon entering key roles, the Wildcats must find new ways to generate high-percentage looks and assert control on the boards.

The conversation focused on the team’s need for elite guard play after the departure of Jayden Bradley, raising concerns about leadership and floor generalship. Key stats like offensive rebounding rate and the percentage of points from three-point shots emerged as indicators of Arizona’s ceiling. The discussion explored how size and efficiency have fueled recent success, emphasizing whether increased reliance on perimeter shooting could alter the formula. Plus, a top-10 power ranking situates Arizona among heavyweights like Duke, Florida, and Texas. Can the Wildcats’ new mix of talent carry them to another Final Four?
