Parker McCollum Talks New Deluxe Album, Almost Quitting Music and "The Limestone Kid"

Austin’s latest country star is no overnight sensation. He’s five albums deep and it’s his latest eponymous album that he’s joining us to discuss. A record that was banged out in NYC in just seven days. A record he thinks is his finest work yet and a record that restored his creative mojo. He’s been touring nonstop since he was 22 so no wonder he was feeling a little burnt out.

We talk about the his process and this album’s genesis, his origin story, his workout regimen, how he met his wife, his love of John Mayer, why he was determined to sign a record deal with a zero dollar advance and so much more.
