SLEEPING ON UNC?! Heels' 1st Day of Practice Comes With Opportunity to OVERTURN Expectations

North Carolina Tar Heels kick off basketball practice with a chip on their shoulder after national analytics grade them a C-minus—can Coach Michael Malone’s revamped squad prove the doubters wrong? Isaac Schade breaks down how Terrence Brown’s relentless attack, Matt Able’s hot shooting, and the team’s defensive identity could outperform preseason rankings like Torvik (44th) and EvanMiya (47th). Syllabus day isn’t just tradition: it’s the beginning of a new season and a reminder that actual grades will be earned on the court.

On the gridiron, Billy Edwards’ passing struggles cost UNC football despite Benjamin Hall’s 130-yard rushing outburst and a dominant offensive line performance. The 4 quarters recap explores missed opportunities, fourth-down frustrations, and why 10 final drives without a touchdown sealed the Tar Heels’ fate against Clemson. Plus, Isaac Schade covers women’s soccer’s big win over Duke, field hockey’s growing pains, and Jamie Laskofski’s cycle for Tar Heels baseball—don’t miss this action-packed Carolina sports roundup!
