Ep. 647 - Disney Magic from Galveston: Is Marvel Day at Sea Better Than Pirate Night?

Nathan and Alicea have sailed Disney Cruise Line 19 times — and they didn't hesitate for a second on their very first cruise. They booked a second sailing before they even got off the ship. Now returning guests on the show, the hosts of Adventures in Mousecapades are back to share cruise number 19: a five-night sailing on the Disney Magic out of Galveston, in concierge, with a Marvel Day at Sea they did not see coming when they booked it.

In this episode:

• Flying into Houston, the Disney hotel/transport package from IAH, and where Galveston honestly ranks as an embarkation port (they're direct about it)
• ️ The newly refreshed Magic concierge one-bedroom suite — updated color palette, better layout, and Nathan's take that these may be the best multi-room suites in the fleet
• ‍♂️ A full Marvel Day at Sea breakdown: the Heroes Unite deck party with story-integrated fireworks, in-ship PA announcements from Yelena and Star-Lord, a massive themed dinner menu, and the character lineup across the day
• Progresso port day with a private van, Mayan ruins (mobility-friendly!), and cenote swimming — trip-planned using AI co-pilot with Nathan on crutches two months post-knee-replacement
• Sterling's viral bread reviews: crunch scores, taste scores, and whether the dip was approved
• Honest thoughts on the Magic's age, what a farewell season should look like, and whether DCL should auction off ship artifacts for charity

"It displaces pirate night. It was absolutely fantastic... from a deck party perspective of that kind of thing." — Nathan
