Odef – Change (Money) – עודף

Odef mishkal – Overweight – עודף משקל

Odafim – Surplus, outlet stock, extra – עודפים

Ma at ma'adifa – What do you prefer? – מה את מעדיפה

Leha'adif – To prefer – להעדיף

Ani maadifa lishtok – I prefer to keep quiet- להעדיף

Ma hayita ma'adif, ma hayit maadifa – What would you prefer? – מה היית מעדיף/מעדיפה

Ani ma'adif pasta al humus – I prefer pasta over hummus – אני מעדיף פסטה על חומוס
