OH NO: Oklahoma Sooners Get Some TERRIBLE News Monday Night | John Mateer Is Definitely DONE

Oklahoma Sooners face a major setback as David Stone, their top defensive force, suffers a reported lower-body injury in practice—leaving fans questioning the defense’s ability to maintain its elite status ahead of the Georgia showdown. Can Oklahoma’s defense remain dominant without its centerpiece, or will this be the turning point in a tumultuous season?

Jay Smith breaks down the fallout from Stone’s injury, the mounting pressure on quarterback John Mateer, and a Sooners offense struggling to find a rhythm. Key highlights include analysis of Trent Wilson and Nigel Smith’s readiness to step up, Mateer’s rocky postgame comments, and Brent Venables’ need for immediate changes on offense. With crucial SEC clashes looming, the Sooners’ path forward looks more uncertain than ever.
