On New Year’s Day, UConn’s Athletic Director David Benedict joined us to reflect on a pivotal year for Huskies athletics and what lies ahead.

We look back at the biggest moments of 2025 across UConn sports, including a major winter coming up for men's and women's basketball and hockey. The conversation dives into the football coaching search process — including the behind-the-scenes trip to observe Coach Candle.

We also discuss how college football continues to evolve with bowl game opt-outs and the challenges of independent scheduling moving forward.

The episode wraps with a wide-ranging look at the future of college athletics: NBA draft picks returning to college, if commissioners are needed, and more.
