What if protecting your passion from pressure is the very thing keeping it from becoming meaningful work? In this episode, Kevin and Alan scrutinise the belief that doing what you love should always feel effortless. They examine what happens when passion becomes responsibility and starts carrying expectations, deadlines, accountability, and measurable results. They also challenge the idea that meaningful work should always feel enjoyable, especially when long-term growth requires consistency, discipline, and sacrifice.

They break down the difference between being experience-driven and results-driven, why turning a passion into sustainable income changes the stakes, and how responsibility can reshape your relationship with something you once did purely for enjoyment. You’ll also hear why career alignment, personal development, skill building, and long-term success depend less on avoiding hard work and more on choosing work worth committing to. If your passion only works when nothing is required of it, that may be useful information.
