It Started with Footsteps | Real Ghost Stories CLASSIC

He was only six years old when strange things began happening inside the large old house his family had moved into. At first, it was noises he couldn’t explain—dishes shifting in an empty kitchen, bags crinkling, and footsteps moving slowly along the long wooden hallway after everyone else had gone to bed.

He wasn’t the only person in the family who noticed unusual activity, but he seemed to experience it more than anyone.

Then one night, he woke facedown in bed and suddenly felt an enormous weight pressing against him. He couldn’t move, couldn’t breathe properly, and couldn’t call out to his sister sleeping nearby.

Years later, some would call it sleep paralysis.

He became convinced it was something else entirely.
