The football decisions that led to Nebraska’s precarious situation at running back

Did the football problems that came into focus this week for Nebraska at running back actually start months ago? We’re here on the brink of July to look back at decisions made by Nebraska coaches and the football front office to stay out of the transfer portal at running back for the second consecutive year. Why did they do it?

The status of Mekhi Nelson, arrested this week in Florida, is unknown. But the Huskers knew long ago about their lack of depth and experience at the spot. To whom might they look for help? Also, is Wisconsin about to make another mistake? Did the Badgers hit a home run in teaming with Culver’s? And if Nebraska did something similar, the match is an easy one to make. We finish with news on the Nebraska Football Hall of Fame – and sons of baseball players who golf. Join us.
