UNANIMOUS HISTORY?: Will Ohio State Sensation Jeremiah Smith BREAK Heisman Voting Records in 2026?

Can Ohio State’s Jeremiah Smith become college football’s first-ever unanimous Heisman Trophy winner? Matt Fontana and Justin Zwick debate Smith’s historic season, pondering if he can break Joe Burrow’s voting record and whether any contender—like Keelon Russell or CJ Carr—can rival his dominance. Heisman voting quirks, positional biases, and the strength of Ohio State’s schedule all factor into this spirited discussion.

Deep-dive analysis of snap counts from the Buckeyes’ victory over Iowa spotlights emerging contributors like Qua Russaw and Christian Alliegro, shifting roles in the linebacker and running back rooms, and the team’s preference for two tight end sets. The hosts dissect Ryan Day’s media beef with Dave Portnoy, upcoming kickoff times, and what strategic adjustments Ohio State must make as the Big Ten gauntlet continues. Buckeye fans, don’t miss this definitive breakdown of your team’s quest for college football greatness.
