CAN'T LOSE: Kansas Must Take Care of Business vs Middle Tennessee | Jayhawks vs Blue Raiders PREVIEW

Kansas Jayhawks fight to avoid disaster as they host Middle Tennessee State in their final non-conference clash. Can Lance Leipold’s squad snap a two-game losing streak and revive bowl game hopes, or will a loss ignite serious hot seat talk? Quarterback Isaiah Marshall’s development is under the microscope, while Kansas seeks its first 100-yard rusher of 2026 against a Blue Raiders defense built to limit explosive plays.

Derek Johnson breaks down key storylines, including the impact of the bye week on team health, the challenge Middle Tennessee State’s turnover-hungry, bend-but-don’t-break defense poses, and whether fan apathy is setting in with basketball season looming. Key tailgate stats highlight Kansas’ struggles forcing interceptions and Middle Tennessee State’s special teams strength. Will the Jayhawks’ inconsistent offense finally break through, or could another setback reshape the season’s outlook?
