CONVINCE: Kansas Jayhawks PLAN To CRUSH Middle Tennessee State – KANSAS KEYS to a Big Home Win

Can the Kansas Jayhawks dominate Middle Tennessee State and ignite confidence for a tough post-bye stretch? Derek Johnson breaks down Kansas’ keys to not just win but overwhelm the Blue Raiders at a sold-out David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium. Main talking points include the importance of early down rushing success, offensive line domination, avoiding turnovers, and utilizing playmakers like Nik McMillan and Nahzae Cox in one-on-one matchups. The discussion focuses on the challenges posed by Middle Tennessee State’s standout players Antonio Martin and Cam'ron Lacy, plus the need for the Jayhawks’ defense to pressure quarterback Roman Gagliano without excessive blitzing.

Key matchups spotlight linebacker Korey Smith’s run-stopping ability versus the Jayhawk ground game, and whether Kansas’ defensive ends can overwhelm right tackle Reese Tripp. Players to watch on Kansas’ side include Trey Lathan, Jalen Dupree, and potential breakout candidate Blake Herold. Can KU’s stars soar and set the tone for Big 12 play?
