LINEUP DECISIONS: Two Bigs, Playing Small & More Options for Bill Self's Kansas Jayhawks Squad

Kansas Jayhawks basketball faces a season of bold experimentation as Bill Self weighs jumbo lineups against small ball. Will KU lean into a fast, athletic approach with Keanu Dawes at center, or match recent champions by going big with Paul Mbiya or Christian Reeves anchoring the interior? Tyron Stokes, Tre White, and Dennis Parker offer intriguing versatility, raising questions about rim protection, perimeter shooting, and defensive flexibility.

Derek Johnson explores inventive lineups like the all-shooting five of Blyden, Barnett, Stokes, White, and Dawes, plus a potential "death lineup" featuring Stokes at the five. Can Kansas unlock new levels of speed and spacing, or will trust in the most reliable rotation win out? From super-athletic units boasting Melvin Council to situational sets designed for conference battles, the Jayhawks’ lineup choices could define their Big 12 and NCAA Tournament destiny.
